  DARS is an acronym for Degree Audit Reporting System.

DARS is an advising tool that will allow advisors and students to systematically assess an individual’s progress toward degree completion. Some of the functionality of DARS includes:
 
  • The ability to track a academic progress toward degree completion at any point in the student’s career.

 
  • The ability to track foundation and distribution requirements
.
  • The ability to add planned courses to help with course selection for future course registrations.
 
  • The ability to audit progress toward the completion of a selected degree to assist in the major declaration process.
 

 

The software being employed is a copyrighted product from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. DARS is a widely used degree audit reporting system with a large client base of both private and public institutions of varying sizes and complexity.
